A warm, trainable approach from Yakov Moshe — simple rhythms that support insomnia relief and calmer nights.
If you're dealing with insomnia, it can feel like your body forgot how to sleep. In my work as a sleep consultant, I've found it's often less about "trying harder" and more about restoring a clear rhythm: day feels like day, evening feels like evening, and night feels like night. When those boundaries return, sleep often follows — more gently than you expect.
Insomnia isn't always a lack of sleepiness. Often, it's a nervous system that isn't sure when it's time to let go — always listening for cues: Is it day? Is it evening? Is it night? Is it safe to rest?
Here's a simple reset I share with clients — warm, practical, and easy to start.

MORNING — MAKE "DAY" UNMISTAKABLE
Even after a rough night, give your body a steady start. Open the curtains right away, get a few minutes of outdoor light if you can, and keep your wake-up time as consistent as possible.
"Today begins now."
DAYTIME — LIVE IN THE LIGHT
A stronger day often creates a deeper night. Spend time in brighter spaces, get gentle movement (a walk counts), and keep meals roughly consistent.
"Daytime is where sleep begins."
EVENING — CREATE A SOFT LANDING
Evening is the bridge. About 60–90 minutes before bed, dim the lights, lower stimulation, and repeat the same simple wind-down steps most nights — reading, stretching, quiet music.
"I'm allowed to slow down."
NIGHT — KEEP THE NIGHT "HOLY"
I use the word holy intentionally — the night hours deserve a certain protection and stillness. If you wake up, keep lights very low. Resist the urge to turn wakefulness into planning, scrolling, or problem-solving. Aim for calm, not control.
"Sleep is a process. Let's work on it together, one night at a time."
If you'd like help applying this to your situation — whether it's insomnia, frequent waking, or chronic fatigue — I'm here. Together we'll build a personalized rhythm that supports deeper sleep and calmer nights.
